Fuel Sender Removal

CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the fuel suction hose while removing the fuel pump from the fuel tank and installing the fuel pump to the fuel tank. The broken fuel suction hose can cause the incorrect fuel leveling.
  1. Remove the fuel pump assembly. Refer to Fuel Pump Removal .

  2. Disconnect the 2 connectors from the fuel pump assembly.
    NOTE: Pull the connectors with pressing the locking tap by using any tools such as a flat screw driver.

  3. Disconnect the connector from the fuel pump motor.
    NOTE: Pull the connector with pressing the locking tap by using any tools such as a flat screw driver.

  4. Take the thermistor away from its bracket.

  5. Remove the thermistor mounting bracket.
    NOTE: Pull the bracket with pressing the locking tap by using any tools such as a flat screw driver.

  6. Remove the fuel sender by sliding it out.
    NOTE: Pull the sender body with pressing the locking tap by using any tools such as a flat screw driver.

  7. Install the fuel sender in the reverse order of removal.
  8. Install the fuel pump assembly to the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Pump Installation .
