Oil Pan / Oil Pump Installation
- Installation should follow the removal procedure in the reverse order.
- Discard used oil pump oil ring and install new one.
- Tighten the oil suction pipe-to-oil pump retaining bolts, oil suction pipe bracket bolt, and the oil pump retaining bolt.
Tighten:
- Tighten the oil suction pipe-to-oil pump retaining bolts to 8 - 12 N.m (106 - 124 lb-in.).
- Tighten the oil suction pipe bracket bolt to 8 - 12 N.m (106 - 124 lb-in.).
- Tighten the oil pump retaining bolts to 18 - 22 N.m (13 - 16 lb-ft).
- Install the oil pump sprocket.NOTE: Make sure that the dotted surface on the sprocket faces toward the oil pump.
Tighten:
Tighten the oil pump sprocket retaining nut to 18 - 22 N.m (13 - 16 lb-ft).
- Install the oil pump sprocket cover.
Tighten:
Tighten the oil pump sprocket cover retaining bolts to 5 - 7 N.m (44 - 62 lb-in.).
- After cleaning the remaining liquid gasket and oil, apply new liquid gasket (Loctite® 5900-M8585) on the oil pan.
- After cleaning the remaining liquid gasket and oil on the bed plate flange, install the oil pan.
Tighten:
Tighten the oil pan retaining bolts to 8 - 12 N.m (71 - 106 lb-in.).
- Tighten the center front suspension member bolts.
Tighten:
Tighten the center front suspension member bolts to 80 - 100 N.m (59 - 74 lb-ft).
- Tighten the front engine mount bracket-to-damper bush bolt.
Tighten:
Tighten the front engine mount bracket-to-damper bush bolt to 70 - 90 N.m (52 - 66 lb-ft).
- Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolt.
Tighten:
Tighten the oil pan flange-to-transaxle bolt to 27 - 35 N.m (20 - 26 lb-ft).
- Discard used oil pan drain plug washer and replace it with a new one.
- Install the oil pan drain plug.
Tighten:
Tighten the oil pan drain plug to 35 - 45 N.m (26 - 33 lb-ft).
- Refill the engine with engine oil.
- Install the engine under cover.
Tighten:
Tighten the engine under cover retaining bolts to 17 - 27 N.m (13 - 20 lb-ft).
