Parking Brake Cable Removal

Release the parking brake.
Remove the parking brake/gearshift console hood. Refer to FLOOR CONSOLE REMOVAL .
Measure the thread length from the end of the pull rod to the hex nut and remove the nut.
Remove the parking brake cable ends from the parking brake cable rod and remove the parking brake cable rod.

Remove the parking brake cable from the rear backing plate assembly.

Remove the nuts and bolts securing the parking brake cable to the holding brackets, attached to the under body near the fuel tank.

Remove the parking brake cable.
