Removal Procedure

    CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the generator battery lead connector nut (1) to disconnect the battery positive lead.
  3. Disconnect the generator harness connector (2).

  4. Loosen the generator-adjusting bolt (1).
  5. Remove the generator drive belt.
  6. Remove the lower bracket-to-generator bolt and nut (2).

  7. Remove the engine mounting lower bracket, attaching reaction rod bolt and nut (3).
  8. Remove the engine mounting lower bracket mounting bolts (1).
  9. Remove the engine mounting lower bracket (2).

  10. Remove the generator-adjusting bolt (1).
  11. Carefully remove the generator (2).
