Engine Has No Power, Hesitates, Stumbles On Acceleration, Check Engine Light Is On With Multiple DTCS With P161B (Control Module Torque Performance) As The Primary DTC (TS 18 02228)

ENGINE HAS NO POWER, HESITATES, STUMBLES ON ACCELERATION, CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON WITH MULTIPLE DTCS WITH P161B (CONTROL MODULE TORQUE PERFORMANCE) AS THE PRIMARY DTC

TECHNICAL SERVICE BULLETIN

CONDITION

At temperatures of 0°C (32°F) or below, the engine may have limited power, hesitate, or stumble with the check engine light ON, and multiple DTCs stored, see attached chart.

CAUSE

Ice build up on the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor port.

CORRECTION

The new MAP sensor port has been enlarged to prevent condensation from covering the port and freezing. Replace the MAP sensor with the updated part shown. Use scan tool to clear all DTCs from the ECM memory.
