Steering Knuckle Removal And Installation: Removal
- Hoist vehicle and remove wheel.
- Remove Front wheel hub assembly referring to FRONT WHEEL HUB ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- 2007 and prior models do not use a castellated tie-rod end nut. Disconnect tie-rod end (1) from steering knuckle (2) with puller (3). On 2008 and later vehicles, remove cotter pin and tie-rod end nut from knuckle. Disconnect tie-rod end by using puller. To facilitate adjustment after installation, put a mark on tie-rod thread indicating position of tie-rod end lock nut. Then loosen lock nut and remove tie-rod end from tie-rod.

- Remove front wheel speed sensor (1) from knuckle.
- Loosen ball joint nut (2).

- Remove strut bracket bolts (2) and nuts (1).

- Disconnect ball joint from steering knuckle (2) with puller and then remove steering knuckle (2).
