Emissions Maintenance Reminder Reset - Procedure 02
- CHECK ENGINE light will stay lit at 50,000, 80,000 and 100,000 miles to indicate emission system maintenance is required.
- At 50,000 miles, replace PCV valve and inspect EGR system. At 80,000 miles, replace O2S sensor. At 100,000 miles, replace charcoal canister.
- After servicing and/or replacing components, reset CHECK ENGINE light by sliding cancel switch to its opposite position. The 3-wire cancel switch is located on main wiring harness. On models with Throttle Body Injection (TBI), see Figure. On 1992 models with Port Fuel Injection (PFI), 1993 models with Multi-Port Injection (MPI) and 1994 models with Multi-Fuel Injection (MFI), see Fig 1.
