Without SUZUKI Scan Tool

  1. Perform the following within 15 seconds after ignition switch is turned to ON position:
    1. Press driver-side door switch within 5 seconds. Keep switch pressed for 2 seconds.
    2. Release driver-side door switch, then press it again for 2 seconds or more.
    3. Release driver-side door switch, then press it again for 2-5 seconds.
  2. Using TPM Activation Tool (09945-86510), activate each tire pressure sensor, according to the instructions displayed on activation tool, within 90 seconds.
NOTE: Ensure activation tool is positioned as shown in Figure, or sensor IDs may not register.
NOTE: If ID code registration of all 4 tire pressure sensors does not occur within 90 seconds, repeat procedure.
  3. As each tire pressure sensor is activated, the activation tool will flash its LED and beep. If the activation tool is working properly but does not flash and beep, replace faulty tire pressure sensor.
  4. To verify the IDs are being registered, observe the flash patterns of the dashboard low tire pressure warning light. See Tire Pressure Sensor Activation Specifications  table.
  5. When tire pressure sensor is activated, ID code of tire pressure sensor is registered automatically in TPM system controller. If each of the ID codes of all tire pressure sensors is not registered in TPM system controller within 90 seconds, repeat procedure from beginning.
NOTE: It is possible to check the number of ID codes of tire pressure sensors received by TPM system controller by observing the flashing pattern of low tire pressure warning light.
NOTE: When TPM system controller receives each ID code of the 4 tire pressure sensors, TPM system controller turns on the warning light for 5 seconds. If warning light starts flashing on/off after the 5-second period, replace TPM system controller, as an internal fault has occurred.
