WARNING:
  • Carry out test in very little traffic area to prevent an accident.
  • Test requires 2 persons, a driver and a tester.

The purpose of this test is to judge whether causal factor of trouble which occurred in automatic transaxle is electrical or mechanical by disconnecting transmission wire connector (1) and fixing automatic transaxle gear position (fail-safe function).

  1. Start engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.
  2. After warming up engine, turn ignition switch to OFF position and disconnect transmission wire connector (1).
