Circuit/System Testing
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector C1 at the rear differential clutch control module.
- Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the following circuit terminals and ground:
- Signal circuit terminal 4
- Low reference circuit terminal 2
- If the test lamp illuminates, test the appropriate circuit for a short to voltage.
- Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the following circuit terminals and ground:
- Signal circuit terminal 4
- Low reference circuit terminal 2
- If less than the specified value, test the appropriate circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
- Test for XX-XX ohms of resistance between the signal circuit terminal 4 and the low reference circuit terminal 2.
- If less than the specified range, test both circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
- If greater than the specified range, test both circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
- If all circuits test normal, replace the CCM.
