Circuit/System Testing

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2007 Suzuki XL7. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Ignition OFF, disconnect the harness connector C1 at the rear differential clutch control module.
  2. Ignition ON, verify a test lamp does not illuminate between the following circuit terminals and ground:
    • Signal circuit terminal 4
    • Low reference circuit terminal 2
      • If the test lamp illuminates, test the appropriate circuit for a short to voltage.
  3. Ignition OFF, test for infinite resistance between the following circuit terminals and ground:
    • Signal circuit terminal 4
    • Low reference circuit terminal 2
      • If less than the specified value, test the appropriate circuit for a short to ground. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
  4. Test for XX-XX ohms of resistance between the signal circuit terminal 4 and the low reference circuit terminal 2.
    • If less than the specified range, test both circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
    • If greater than the specified range, test both circuits for an open/high resistance. If the circuit tests normal, replace the CCM temp sensor.
  5. If all circuits test normal, replace the CCM.
