DTC Troubleshooting

TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE

Step Action YES NO
Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK .
Wire harness check 
  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position and then clear DTC.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  3. Check for proper terminal connection to fuel level sensor (main and sub) and ECM connectors.
  4. If connections are OK, perform DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE .
  5. Recheck DTC.

Is DTC P0464 detected? 
Go to Step 3. Intermittent trouble.
Fuel level sensor performance check 
  1. Check fuel level sensor (main and sub) for performance by referring to FUEL LEVEL SENSOR INSPECTION .

Is it in good condition? 
Substitute a known good ECM and recheck. Replace main and/or sub fuel level sensor.
