DTC Confirmation Procedure

NOTE: Make sure that the following conditions are satisfied 5 hours after ignition switch turned OFF.
  • Intake air temp.: Between 0 °C (32 °F) to 50 °C (122 °F)
  • Engine coolant temp.: Between 4 °C (39 °F) to 45 °C (113 °F)
  • Altitude (barometric pressure): 2400 m, 8000 ft or less (560 mmHg, 75 kPa or more)
  1. Connect scan tool to DLC with ignition switch turned OFF.
  2. Turn ON ignition switch and clear DTC.
  3. Run engine at idle for 10 minutes.
  4. Confirm that DTC is no detected.
  5. Turn ignition switch OFF and leave for 6 hours.
  6. Check DTC.
