CONDITION
ESP light ON with DTC C1023 stored after the parking brake lever has been replaced.
CAUSE
The parking brake lever bolts were removed and installed with an impact wrench. The shock created by the impact wrench will damage the internal sensor of the yaw rate G sensor.
CORRECTION
DO NOT use an impact wrench when replacing the parking brake lever. A caution has been added to the repair instructions in the service manual. Please add the attached updated page to the appropriate section of your service manual replacing the current page.
