Power Door Lock System Circuit Inspection

  1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
  2. Disconnect door lock controller coupler (1).
  3. Confirm that all doors are unlocked. Connect battery positive (+) and negative (-) terminals to door lock controller coupler terminals, and check door lock and unlock operation as follows.

    If it does not operate as specified, repair applicable circuit or check actuator. If it operates as specified, go to next step.

  4. Connect negative (-) cable at battery.
  5. Check that the voltage and resistance between the following terminals and body ground are specifications under each conditions.

    If check result is OK, replace door lock controller. If check result is not as specified, repair circuit.

Terminal Wire Circuit Specification Condition
L82-1 WHT/GRN Main power supply 10 - 14 V -
L82-10 BRN/WHT Driver side key cylinder circuit (lock signal) Continuity Driver side key cylinder is lock position.
No continuity Except the above-mentioned condition.
L82-11 BRN Driver side key cylinder circuit (unlock signal) Continuity Driver side key cylinder is unlock position.
No continuity Except the above-mentioned condition.
L82-12 BLU/BLK Power door lock switch circuit (lock signal) Continuity Power door lock switch is lock position.
No continuity Except the above-mentioned condition.
L82-13 BLU/RED Power door lock switch circuit (unlock signal) Continuity Power door lock switch is unlock position.
No continuity Except the above-mentioned condition.
L82-14 BLK/RED Door switch circuit Continuity Driver side, passenger side, rear driver side, rear passenger side or rearend door is open.
No continuity All doors are closed.
L82-17 BLU/ORN Ignition key remainder circuit 10 - 14 V Ignition key is in ignition switch.
0 - 1 V Ignition key is not in ignition switch.
L82-18 RED/BLK Ignition switch circuit 10 - 14 V Ignition switch is at ON position.
0 - 1 V Ignition switch is at OFF position.
L82-20 BLK Ground 0 - 1 V -
