Side Sensor Removal and Installation: Installation

CAUTION: Proper operation of side sensor requires sensor be rigidly attached to specified position.

Check that none of following faulty conditions exists.
- Bend, deformity or rust of under body.
- Foreign matter on mating surface of sensor.
Install side sensor (1) on under body (2) and tighten side sensor bolt (3) to specified torque.
Tightening torque

Side sensor bolt a: 9 N.m (0.9 kg-m, 6.5 lb-ft)

Connect side sensor connector pushing connector inner (1) as shown.

Connect negative cable at battery.
Enable air bag system. Refer to ENABLING AIR BAG SYSTEM: ADVANCED AIR BAG .
