Differential Side Oil Seal Replacement

- Lift up vehicle and drain transaxle oil referring to MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL CHANGE .
- Remove exhaust No.1 pipe referring to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove drive shaft assembly referring to FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Remove oil seal (1) by using special tool.

- Install oil seal (1) facing its spring side inward by using special tool and hammer.

Distance between case surface and oil seal
"a": 0 - 0.5 mm (0 - 0.02 in.)

- Apply grease to oil seal lip and at the same time check drive shaft where oil seal contacts and make sure of its smoothness.
"A": Grease 99000-25010
- Insert drive shaft assembly or center drive shaft (1) to differential gear referring to FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install exhaust No.1 pipe referring to EXHAUST MANIFOLD REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Connect ball stud with knuckle referring to FRONT WHEEL HUB AND STEERING KNUCKLE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Pour transaxle oil as specified and make sure that oil has been sealed with oil seal.
