Power Steering (P/S) System Inspection

Visually check power steering system for fluid leakage and hose for damage and deterioration. Repair or replace defective parts, if any.

With engine stopped, check fluid level indicated on fluid tank, which should be between UPPER and LOWER marks. If it is lower than LOWER, fill fluid up to UPPER mark.
NOTE: Fluid level should be checked when fluid is cool.

Visually check pump drive belt for cracks and wear.
Check belt for tension, referring to "P/S PUMP DRIVE BELT INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT : ". If necessary, Adjust or replace it.
