Engine Assembly Removal and Installation: Installation
Reverse removal procedure for installation noting the following points.
- Tighten engine side mounting bracket nuts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Engine side mounting bracket nut (a): 55 N.m (5.5 kg-m, 40.0 lb-ft)
- Tighten transmission case bolts and nuts to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Transmission case bolt and nut (b): 85 N.m (8.5 kg-m, 61.5 lb-ft) (for M/T vehicle)
Transmission case bolt and nut (b): 80 N.m (8.0 kg-m, 58.0 lb-ft) (for A/T vehicle)
- Tighten torque converter bolts to specified torque (for A/T vehicle).
Tightening torque
Torque converter bolt (c): 65 N.m (6.5 kg-m, 47.0 lb-ft)
- Tighten bolts and nuts of exhaust No.1 pipe (1) to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Exhaust No.1 pipe bolt and nut (d): 50 N.m (5.0 kg-m, 36.5 lb-ft)
- Install front differential housing with differential to chassis referring to "FRONT DIFFERENTIAL DISMOUNTING AND REMOUNTING " and "FRONT DIFFERENTIAL DISMOUNTING AND REMOUNTING ", if necessary.
- Install steering shaft lower assembly referring to "STEERING LOWER SHAFT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Install A/C compressor assembly.
For H25 engine model, refer to "COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR H25 ENGINE MODEL ".
For H25 engine model, refer to "COMPRESSOR ASSEMBLY REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION FOR H27 ENGINE MODEL ".
- Install P/S pump assembly referring to "P/S PUMP REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Adjust accelerator cable play and A/T throttle cable play (for H25 engine with A/T) referring to "ACCELERATOR CABLE ADJUSTMENT " and to "A/T THROTTLE CABLE ADJUSTMENT (H25 ENGINE WITH A/T ONLY) ".
- Refill engine with engine oil referring to "ENGINE OIL AND FILTER CHANGE ".
- Refill cooling system referring to "COOLING SYSTEM FLUSH AND REFILL ".
- Check to ensure that all fasteners and clamps are tightened.
- Upon completion of installation, verify that there is no fuel leakage, coolant leakage, P/S fluid leakage or exhaust gas leakage at each connection.
