DTC Troubleshooting

DTC TROUBLESHOOTING

Step Action Yes No
1 Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go to Step 2. Go to "ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK  ".
2 Is there DTC(s) other than "P0174" and "P0175"?  Go to applicable DTC flow. Go to Step 3.

  1. Check intake system and exhaust system for leakage.
Are intake system and exhaust system in good condition? 		 Go to Step 4. Repair or replace.

  1. Check fuel pressure referring to "FUEL PRESSURE CHECK  ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 5. Repair or replace.

  1. Check fuel injectors (No. 2, 4, 6) referring to "FUEL INJECTOR INSPECTION ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 6. Faulty injector(s).

  1. Check fuel injector circuit referring to "FUEL INJECTOR CIRCUIT CHECK  ".
Is it in good condition? 		 Go to Step 7. Repair or replace.

  1. Check fuel level sensor referring to "FUEL LEVEL SENSOR (SENDER GAUGE) INSPECTION ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 8. Faulty fuel level sensor or its circuit.

  1. Check MAF sensor referring to "MASS AIR FLOW (MAF) SENSOR ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 9. Faulty MAF sensor or its circuit.

  1. Check ECT sensor referring to "ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Go to Step 10. Faulty ECT sensor.

  1. Check HO2S referring to Step 2 of "DTC Troubleshooting" in "DTC P0154: HO2S (BANK-2 SENSOR-1) NO ACTIVITY DETECTED  ".
Is check result satisfactory? 		 Substitute a known-good ECM (PCM) and recheck. Faulty HO2S.
