Remote Audio Control Switch Inspection
- Remove driver air bag (inflator) module.
For H25 engine model, refer to "DRIVER AIR BAG (INFLATOR) MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ". For H27 engine model, refer to "DRIVER AIR BAG (INFLATOR) MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ".
- Disconnect remote audio control switch connector from contact coil.
- Check switch (1) for resistance between "a" and "c" terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace remote audio control switch.
"MUTE", "+" and "-" switch resistance
All switches released (OFF): 90-110 kohm
"MUTE" switch pushing on (ON): 300 - 360 ohm
"+" switch pushing on (ON): 900 - 1100 ohm
"-" switch pushing on (ON): 2900 - 3500 ohm
- Check switch (1) for resistance between "b" and "c" terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace remote audio control switch.
"MODE", "<" and ">" switch resistance
All switches released (OFF): 90 - 110 kohm
"MODE" switch pushing on (ON): 300 - 360 ohm
"<" switch pushing on (ON): 900 - 1100 ohm
">" switch pushing on (ON): 2900 - 3500 ohm
