DTC TROUBLESHOOTING CHART

1	Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?	Go to Step 2.	Go to "ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK ".
2	MAP sensor signal check Remove ECM cover. Measure voltage between "C51 -3-8" and "C51 -3-25" terminals of ECM connector under the following conditions. With ignition switch turned ON leaving engine stopped: 0.2 V or higher At idling: 4.6 V or lower Is check result as specified?	Intermittent trouble or faulty ECM. Check for intermittent referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTION INSPECTION ".	Go to Step 3.
3	MAP sensor check Disconnect connector from MAP sensor with ignition switch turned OFF. Check for proper connection to MAP sensor at each terminal. If OK, check MAP sensor for performance referring to "MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR INSPECTION ". Is check result satisfactory?	"RED/WHT" wire, "GRY/ YEL" wire or "GRY/ RED" wire circuit open/ short. If wire and connections are OK, substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.	Replace MAP sensor.

Go to Step 2.

MAP sensor signal check

Is check result as specified?

Intermittent trouble or faulty ECM. Check for intermittent referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTION INSPECTION ".

Go to Step 3.

MAP sensor check

Disconnect connector from MAP sensor with ignition switch turned OFF.
Check for proper connection to MAP sensor at each terminal.
If OK, check MAP sensor for performance referring to "MANIFOLD ABSOLUTE PRESSURE (MAP) SENSOR INSPECTION ".

Is check result satisfactory?

"RED/WHT" wire, "GRY/ YEL" wire or "GRY/ RED" wire circuit open/ short.

If wire and connections are OK, substitute a known-good ECM and recheck.

Replace MAP sensor.
