Transfer Shift Actuator Removal and Installation
Reference: Transfer Shift Actuator and Shift Shaft Component: Motor-Shift Type

Removal
1. Dismount transfer assembly referring to Transfer Assembly Dismounting and Remounting: Motor-Shift Type.





2. Remove transfer shift actuator (1) from transfer assembly (2).

Installation

CAUTION: Be sure to position transfer shift actuator to 4H position referring to -Actuator Shift Position Sensor- under Transfer Shift Actuator Inspection: Motor-Shift Type.





1. Install transfer shift actuator (1) and new gasket to transfer rear case (2), and then tighten transfer shift actuator bolts (3) first and then bolt (4).
Tightening torque
Transfer shift actuator mounting bolt a: 23 Nm (2.3 kg-m, 17.0 ft. lbs.) (by the specified procedure)
