Seat Position Sensor: Service and Repair
Seat Position Sensor Removal and InstallationRemoval
1. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
2. Disable air bag system referring to Disabling Air Bag System:H27 Engine Model (Advanced Air Bag).
3. Remove front seat referring to Front Seat Removal and Installation for H27 Engine Model.
4. Disconnect seat position sensor connector at seat harness.
5. Remove seat position sensor bolt (1) and seat position sensor (2) from seat adjuster.
Installation
Reference: Seat Position Sensor Inspection:H27 Engine Model (Advanced Air Bag)
1. Install seat position sensor on seat adjuster and tighten seat position sensor bolt to specified torque.
Tightening torque
Seat position sensor bolt a: 8.0 N-m (0.8 kg-m, 6.0 lb-ft)
2. Connect seat position sensor connector at seat harness.
3. Install front seat referring to Front Seat Removal and Installation for H27 Engine Model.
4. Connect negative cable at battery.
5. Enable air bag system referring to Enabling Air Bag System:H27 Engine Model (Advanced Air Bag).
