ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure
NOTE:
The TPM3 must be used with an SPX J-46079 or equivalent scan tool
NOTE:
If spare tire has been used, or if a wheel or tire pressure sensor has been replaced, all 4 tire pressure sensors must be registered.
NOTE:
The warning light may come on due to normal causes such as natural air leaks and pressure changes caused by changes in temperature or atmospheric pressure.
NOTE:
In high altitude areas, the warning light may not turn off even after adjusting tire pressures. In this case, adjust inflation pressure to a slightly higher pressure than specified.
CAUTION:
If warning light is still on or flashing after adjusting tire pressure and registering system sensors, there is a problem in the TPMS. See appropriate manufacturer service information.
- Connect the scan tool with DLC connector.
- Turn the Ignition switch to ON.
- Go to the ID resister mode of the scan tool.
- Contact the LF tool with the tire air valve and push the LF tool button for 4 seconds. The TPMS warning lamp will blink. Also you can see the ID on the scan tool screen.
- Repeat step 5 for the remaining 3 tires, within 5 minutes.
