SSPS System Self-Diagnosis
If IGN is turned ON, the warning lamp blinks three times for 3sec and then OFF. The SSPS control module has the self-diagnostic feature. If any malfunction occurs, the controller illuminates the warning lamp as well as shut off the current to the magnetic coil to result in heavy power steering effort for safety. Trouble codes are displayed and erased by the Scan tool.
