Remote Audio Control Switch Inspection

Remove driver air bag (inflator) module referring to DRIVER AIR BAG (INFLATOR) MODULE REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
Disconnect remote audio control switch connector from contact coil.
Check switch (1) for resistance between "a" and "c" terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace remote audio control switch.

"MUTE", "+" and "-" switch resistance

All switches released (OFF): 90 - 110 kohm

"MUTE" switch pushing on (ON): 313 - 345 ohm

"+" switch pushing on (ON): 950 - 1050 ohm

"-" switch pushing on (ON): 2955 - 3265 ohm

Check switch (1) for resistance between "b" and "c" terminals under each condition below.
If check result is not satisfactory, replace remote audio control switch.

"MODE", "<" and ">" switch resistance

All switches released (OFF): 90 - 110 kohm

"MODE" switch pushing on (ON): 313 - 345 ohm

"<" switch pushing on (ON): 950 - 1050 ohm

">" switch pushing on (ON): 2955 - 3265 ohm
