Trailing Rod Removal and Installation: Installation

  1. Install trailing rod (1) and tighten bolts by hand.
  2. Attach parking brake cable clamp (2) to trailing rod.
  3. Lower hoist and bounce vehicle up and down to stabilize suspension.
  4. Tighten trailing rod bolts (3) to specified torque with vehicle weight on suspension.

    Tightening torque 

    Trailing rod bolt (a): 98 N.m (9.8 kg-m, 71.0 lb-ft)
