Diagnostic Trouble Codes Troubleshooting

WARNING: In order to reduce risk of fire and personal injury, this work must be performed in a well ventilated area and away from any open flames such as gas hot water.
DTC TROUBLESHOOTING

Step Action Yes No
1 Was "Engine and Emission Control System Check" performed?  Go To Step 2. Go to "ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM CHECK :".
2 Check EVAP canister purge power supply circuit 
  1. Disconnect connectors from ECM with ignition switch turned OFF.
  2. Disconnect connector from EVAP canister purge valve.
  3. Turn ON ignition switch, measure voltage between vehicle body ground and "C46-30" terminal of ECM connector.

Is it voltage 0 V? 
Go To Step 3. "BLU/BLK" wire shorted to power supply circuit.
3 Check EVAP canister purge valve 
  1. Check EVAP canister purge valve referring to EVAP CANISTER PURGE VALVE INSPECTION .

Is it good condition? 
Go To Step 4. Faulty EVAP canister purge control valve.
4 Check EVAP canister purge control circuit 
  1. With ignition switch turned OFF, measure resistance between "G04-6" (or "G04-7") terminal and "C46-30" terminal of ECM connector.

Is resistance above 30 Ω at 20°C, 68°F? 
Intermittent trouble.
Check for intermittent referring to "INTERMITTENT AND POOR CONNECTION INSPECTION ."
If OK, substitute a known-good ECM recheck.
Shorted circuit between "BLK/RED" and "BLU/ BLK" wire and faulty ECM.
