Fuel Injector Removal and Installation: Removal

CAUTION: A small amount of fuel may be released when it is removed from delivery pipe. Place a shop cloth under delivery pipe so that released fuel is absorbed in it.
  1. Relieve fuel pressure according to "Fuel Pressure Relief Procedure:".
  2. Disconnect negative cable at battery.
  3. Remove engine cover referring to .
  4. Disconnect vacuum hose from intake manifold.
  5. Disconnect couplers from each injector.
  6. Remove delivery pipe from cylinder head.
  7. Remove fuel injector.
