Refrigerant Pressure Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair

A/C Refrigerant Pressure Switch Removal and Installation

Removal
1. Disconnect negative (-) cable at battery.
2. Remove air cleaner case assembly.
3. Recover refrigerant from A/C system.




4. Disconnect A/C refrigerant pressure switch connector (1).
5. Remove A/C refrigerant pressure switch (2) from refrigerant pipe.

CAUTION: Be careful not to distort refrigerant pipe.

Installation

Reverse removal procedure to install A/C refrigerant pressure switch noting the following instruction.
- Tighten A/C refrigerant pressure switch as specified torque.
- Sufficiently apply compressor oil to fitting surface of O-ring.

Tightening torque
A/C refrigerant pressure switch a: 11 N.m (1.1 kg-m, 8.0 lb-ft)
