Repair Instructions: Removal

1. Disconnect negative cable at battery if equipped with pretensioner.
2. Disable air bag system if equipped with pretensioner referring to DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
3. Remove lower anchor bolt.
4. Remove front pillar lower trim.
5. Disconnect yellow connector for seat belt pretensioner (if equipped).
6. Remove front seat belts from the vehicle.

Refer to the figure to remove rear seat belts.
