Removal & Installation

- Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Ensure front wheels face straight ahead. Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
- Loosen Torx bolts securing driver-side air bag module to sides of steering wheel. Pull driver-side air bag module away from steering wheel. Disconnect air bag module and horn connectors. Remove driver-side air bag module.
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten driver-side air bag module Torx bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
