Removal & Installation

Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
Open glove box, then while pressing glove box stopper, pull out glove box from instrument panel. Disconnect connector. Remove bolts securing passenger-side air bag module to instrument panel. See Fig 1. Remove passenger-side air bag module.
To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten passenger-side air bag module bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
