Bench Testing: Stator

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Suzuki XL-7, 2003 Suzuki Vitara, and 2003 Suzuki Grand Vitara. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. To test stator for an open circuit, use ohmmeter to check all leads for continuity. If there is no continuity, replace the stator (1). See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
  2. Using Ohmmeter, check that there is no continuity between coil leads (2) and stator core (1). If there is continuity, replace stator. See Fig 1 or Fig 2 .
