Removal & Installation

- If removing right-hand strut assembly, first remove windshield washer tank assembly.
- For vehicles with ABS, remove front ABS sensor harness bracket.
- For all vehicles, remove brake hose bracket. See Fig 1 .
- Disconnect strut from knuckle.
- Remove strut mounting nuts.
- Remove insulator clip.
- Remove stiffener plate.
- Remove strut assembly.
- To install, reverse removal procedures. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Check front wheel alignment and adjust as necessary. See appropriate SPECIFICATIONS & PROCEDURES article in WHEEL ALIGNMENT.
