Knuckle/Hub Assembly: Installation

  1. Install hub in knuckle. Install the hub bolts. See Figure. Tighten the hub bolts to 70 Ft. Lbs. (95 N.m).
  2. Install the splash shield and front strut bolts. See Figure. Tighten the splash shield bolts to 7 Ft. Lbs (10 N.m).
  3. Install the detent screw and disc. See Figure. Tighten the detent screw to 44 INCH Lbs. (5 N.m).
  4. Install the brake caliper.
  5. Install the control arm ball joint bolt. Tighten the control arm ball joint bolt to 81 Ft. Lbs. (110 N.m).
  6. Install the outer tie rod bolt. See Figure. Tighten the outer tie rod bolt to 37 Ft. Lbs. (50 N.m).
  7. Install the washer and the caulking nut onto the axle shaft. See Figure. Tighten the caulking nut onto the axle shaft to 236 Ft. Lbs. (320 N.m).
