Removal & Installation: CROSSMEMBER: Installation

  1. Install the stabilizer bar onto the crossmember assembly. See Figure. Tighten the stabilizer bar bolts and nuts to 37 Ft. Lbs. (50 N.m).
  2. Install the crossmember bolts-to-control arm, nuts-to-longitudinal and crossmember. See Figure. Tighten the crossmember bolts-to-control arm and nuts-to-longitudinal to 110 Ft. Lbs. (150 N.m).
  3. Install the out tie rod and control arm ball joint.
  4. Install the front exhaust pipe and centermember.
  5. On models with manual transaxle, install the shift control bracket and clip. See Figure.
  6. On all models, install the steering interim shaft and bolt. See Figure. Tighten the steering interim shaft bolt to 18 Ft. Lbs. (25 N.m).
  7. Install the power steering pipe union nuts. See Figure. Tighten the power steering pipe union nuts to 22 Ft. Lbs. (30 N.m).
  8. Fill the power steering oil into the power steering system.
