Disabling System
- Zone 1
- Open front hood, and remove the air cleaner assembly. Locate both right and left front end sensors also known as the Electronic Frontal Sensor (EFS) remove both right and left Connector Position Assurance (CPA) clips from right and left EFS connector. Remove both EFS connectors from the EFS.
- Zone 2 Or 6
- Open door and remove the door trim panel. Locate Side Impact Sensor (SIS). Remove the CPA clip from SIS connector. Remove the SIS connector from the SIS.
- Zone 3
- Remove the left/driver sound insulator from the I/P. Remove the CPA clip from the vehicle harness Yellow connector. Disconnect the steering wheel module coil Yellow connector from the vehicle harness Yellow connector. See Fig 1
.
- Zone 4
- Remove the driver and passenger sound insulator from the I/P. Locate the I/P module and steering wheel module coil Yellow connector just under console and remove the CPA clip from the vehicle harness Yellow connector. Disconnect the I/P module and steering wheel module coil Yellow connector from the vehicle harness Yellow connector. Remove both CPA clips from the driver and passenger side impact module and pretensioner Yellow connector which is located under the driver seat. Disconnect the vehicle harness Yellow connector from the side impact module and pretensioner Yellow connectors.
- Zone 5
- Remove the right/passenger sound insulator from the I/P. Locate the I/P module Yellow connector just right of console and remove the CPA clip from the vehicle harness Yellow connector. Disconnect the I/P module Yellow connector from the vehicle harness Yellow connector.
- Zone 7 & 9
- Remove both CPA clips from the front seat of appropriate Side Impact Module and Pretensioner Yellow connector which is located under the seat. Disconnect the vehicle harness Yellow connector (2) from the Side Impact Module and Pretensioner Yellow connector.
