Disassembly Procedure

NOTE: Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in Cautions and Notices.

Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
Place the jackstands under the frame of the vehicle and lower the vehicle slightly so the weight of the vehicle rests on the jackstands and not on the control arms.
Remove the wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
Remove the control arm. Refer to Control Arm Replacement .
Remove the ball joint mounting bolts.
