Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution in Cautions and Notices.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Remove the engine cover bolts and cover.

Disconnect the breather tube from the valve cover.

Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube from the valve cover.

Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connect.

Disconnect all of the necessary vacuum lines.
Disconnect the ignition wires from the spark plugs.

Remove the valve cover bolts.
Remove the valve cover.

Remove the valve cover gasket from the valve cover.
