Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Suzuki Swift +, 2005 Pontiac Wave, and 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Set the radiator into place in the vehicle with the radiator bottom posts in the rubber shock bumpers.

  3. Position the radiator retainers in place.
  4. Install the upper right radiator retaining bracket.
  5. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  6. Install the upper right radiator retaining bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the upper right radiator retaining bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  8. Install the upper left radiator retaining bracket.
  9. Install the upper left radiator retaining bolt.

    Tighten:  Tighten the upper left radiator retaining bolt to 7 N.m (62 lb in).

  11. Connect the surge tank hose to the radiator.
  12. Secure the surge tank hose with a hose clamp.

  14. Connect the upper radiator hose and the lower radiator hose to the radiator.
  15. Secure each hose with a hose clamp.
  16. Install the electric cooling fans. Refer to Cooling Fan Replacement - Electric .
  17. Refill the engine cooling system. Refer to Draining and Filling Cooling System .
  18. Connect the negative battery cable.
