Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Suzuki Swift +, 2005 Pontiac Wave, and 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Lubricate the new seals with clean brake fluid. Install the seals into the cylinder body.
  2. Install the reservoir on the master cylinder body.

  4. For vehicles with the manual transaxle, connect the clip to the clutch hose connection at the master cylinder.

  6. Add brake fluid.
  7. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
    NOTE: Refer to Vehicle Lifting and Jacking Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  8. Bleed the braking system. Refer to Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Manual)  or Hydraulic Brake System Bleeding (Pressure) .
  9. Lower the vehicle.
  10. Connect the reservoir electrical connector.
