Installation Procedure

  1. With the throttle valve closed, position the TP sensor on the throttle shaft. Align the TP sensor with the bolt holes.
  2. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  3. Install the TP sensor retaining bolts.

    Tighten:  Tighten the throttle position sensor retaining bolts to 2 N.m (18 lb in).

  4. Connect the TP sensor connector.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable.
