Removal Procedure

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the engine cover bolts and the nuts.
  3. Remove the engine cover.

  5. Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor electrical connector.
  6. Remove the timing belt front cover. Refer to Timing Belt Replacement in Engine Mechanical-1.6L.
