Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2005 Suzuki Swift +, 2005 Pontiac Wave, and 2005 Chevrolet Aveo. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

  1. Install the headlamp.Refer to Headlamp Replacement (Hatchback) or Headlamp Replacement (Notchback)
  2. Install the fender.
  3. NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice in Cautions and Notices.
  4. Tighten:  Tighten the upper fender bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

    Install the bolts along the top of the fender.

  6. Install the bolt at the base of the windshield pillar.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fender-to-windshield pillar bolt to 8 N.m (71 lb in).

  8. Install the bolts at the base of the fender.

    Tighten:  Tighten the lower fender bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in).

  10. Secure the fender to the front bumper fascia with the screw.

    Tighten:  Tighten the front bumper fascia screw to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  11. Secure the fender behind the front bumper fascia with the screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the fender screws to 4 N.m (35 lb in).

  13. Install the splash shield with the screws.

    Tighten:  Tighten the splash shield screws to 1.5 N.m (13 lb in).

  14. Install the front wheel.

    Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation

  15. Lower the vehicle.
