Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to Battery Disconnect Caution .

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Recover the refrigerant. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging .
Remove the screw that secures the receiver-dryer band clamp.
Remove the receiver-dryer with the bolts.
Drain the oil from the receiver-dryer into a container. Measure the amount of oil drained from the receiver dryer and then discard this used oil.
