Adjusting Belt Tension

With the J 23600-B on the pump drive belt, loosen the alternator adjusting bolt and move the alternator until the gage indicates the proper tension. See Special Tools .

NOTE: Refer to Fastener Notice .

Tighten the alternator adjusting bolt.
Tighten: Tighten the alternator adjusting bolt to 20 N.m (15 lb ft).
