Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove screws from rear section of center console. Remove rear section. Remove screws from front section of center console. Remove front section. Remove trim panel from center of instrument panel. Remove ashtray, radio assembly. clock and storage tray. Disconnect electrical connector from SDM. Remove 3 bolts from SDM. Remove SDM from vehicle.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure arrow on SDM is pointing toward front of vehicle. Tighten SDM bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
