Air Flow Control Actuator Inspection
WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2004 Suzuki Aerio. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
- Remove air flow control actuator from heater and cooling unit referring to Air Flow Control Actuator Removal and Installation .
- Connect air flow control actuator connector to the actuator (1).
- Set air flow selector of HVAC control module to DEF position with ignition switch ON, and make sure if the position of actuator level is DEF (A).
- Measure resistance between terminal "1" and "3".
Air flow control actuator resistance between terminal "1" and "3" (DEF position)
Approximately less than 1.2 k/ohms
- Set air flow selector of HVAC control module to VENT position with ignition switch ON, and make sure if the position of actuator level is VENT (B).
- Measure resistance between terminal "1" and "3".
Air flow control actuator resistance between terminal "1" and "3" (VENT position)
Approximately 4.8 - 6.0 k/ohms
If check result is not satisfactory, replace the actuator with new one.
