Removal & Installation

  1. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM .
  2. Remove center console. See CENTER CONSOLE . Disconnect SDM connector. Remove SDM bolts. Remove SDM. See Fig 1.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Ensure arrow on SDM is facing toward front of vehicle. Tighten SDM bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS . Activate air bag system.
